Welcome to Computer Applications for College
-- A Freshmen Course
This course is designed to introduce students to classroom computing. The skills acquired in this course will help students move smoothly through high school and college by familiarizing them with our entire array of software titles, primarily the Microsoft Office Suite and the Adobe Production Suite. Students will also learn essential file management skills. In addition to software, this course will introduce students to sites and services available on the Internet. We will delve deeply into the interactive, participatory realm of Web 2.0.
When students complete this one-semester program they will be proficient computer users and will be able to complete technology-based projects assigned in all their other classes.
