Assignment: Write 105 clean, clear, creative contextual sentences, one for each of the words in columns 1 - 7. Each sentence must contain enough of the word’s meaning that anyone can infer the definition of the word by reading your sentence. Everything else counts, too: proper usage, syntax, punctuation, capital letters, spelling, and following the format requirements.

1. Heading: Context Sentences for Vocabulary Columns 1 - 7 by [your name].
2. Boldface the vocabulary word inside of each sentence. You may underline instead, but I prefer boldface.
3. You may list the word in front of each sentence in bold or all caps, but it’s not required. If you do, the sentence must stand apart and begin with a capital letter.
4. I prefer single space, but do skip spaces between columns.
5. Skip an extra space between each column and boldface the column header
6. You do not have to number your sentences, but if it makes you happy, go ahead.
7. If you do not know how to create a sentence for a word, then write out the entire definition in bold and move on.
8. I will write on your documents in red. Do not delete any of my remarks. I will paste the word Fix in front of sentences that need repair. I will not always tell you what is wrong. You must figure that out. It could be anything from a missing capital letter to a wrong use of the vocabulary word; it could be more than one error. Ask a classmate to proofread or come to me for help if you can’t figure it out.
9. Either repair the sentence (preferred) or write a brand new sentence underneath. THEN change FIX to FIXED by adding ED.
10. Some other common editing marks:
WPOS: Wrong Part of Speech
VAGUE: Word definition is weak
AWK: Sentence is awkwardly constructed
WC: Wrong context - definition doesn't match
CAP: Capital letter error
PUNCT: Punctuation error
