Mastering Multimedia

There will be no mastering of multimedia in a single week. Mastery takes years. Don't let the course name fool you. You will, however, learn a lot and perhaps grow curious to learn more.

Syllabus: We will create multimedia projects and explore many ways to share our creations.

End Product: Each student will have a personal Wiki with links to the multimedia content created in this course.

BRING A CAMERA ON TUESDAY IF YOU HAVE ONE. BRING A MEMORY-CARD READER ALSO IF YOU HAVE ONE. I HAVE SEVEN CHEAP CAMERAS TO LOAN.

Training PowerPoints Used in this class

Projects:

A training session on multimedia -- the various file formats for video, audio, image; methods for managing, converting, and editing; methods for sharing your creations

A training session on photography and film-making -- followed by photography - film-making session (bring a camera)

Build a Wiki personal website to hold links and embedded examples of the projects below

A Multimedia PowerPoint with provided content

A Multimedia PowerPoint with your own content

A MovieMaker 30-second music video

A MovieMaker movie with your own content

We go by the Accordian Calendar - it flexes. Any projects that don't get finished roll over to the next day. There will be no rushing. If we must cut a project to make time for others to be done well, we will. If we finish early, we will explore more multimedia websites.
