For Big Clean-Up Jobs

For big-time clean up of hundreds or thousands of URLs, we suggest you use Windows Explorer and locate your Favorites folder. You can see much more with Explorer and utilize your entire screen. You can also use drag-and-drop to move files and folders in bulk.

Where is my Favorites folder?

If you are using Windows 95, windows 98, or Windows ME your Favorites folder is in your Windows directory.

If you are using Windows 2000 or XP your Favorites folder is under Documents and Settings. In XP the Favorites folder has a special star icon. If you can't find it use the Search Option for Favorites.

General Advice about All Personal Files on Your Computer

Keep everything you create inside the My Documents folder provided by Microsoft Windows installation. Many programs' default save options point to My Documents making it the logical storage location. By having all personal files inside one primary folder, backing things up becomes easy. You simply copy or burn My Documents to a writable CD, a Zip Disk, another hard drive, an Internet Storage Server.
